Contrastive Study of the Conjunction ‘and’ in English and Armenian

In linguistics the structuring role of conjunctions is emphasized, whereas its pragmatic and contrastive study often foregrounded. Conjunction may be prerequisite for study.
 The present research mainly aimed at establishing semantic – functional characteristics conjunction “and”, as well identifying equivalents in Armenian translation. other words only one translation direction investigated, namely English to Armenian. merit this lies fact that from perspective reveals structural similarities dissimilarities source language target language.
 Contrastive can used get new insights into syntax findings analysis prove useful such fields comparative grammar, pragmatics, second-language teaching, etc.
